Dr. Diana Vazquez

Dr. Diana Vazquez would be excited to be your dentist near Oak Lawn! She loves helping her patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles every day. Although somewhat ironically, she didn’t know she wanted to be a dentist until she got to assist one with cleaning and filling teeth for elementary school patients. After this experience, Dr. Vazquez knew that dentistry was the right career for her.

Dr. Vazquez went on to earn her dental degree from the Baylor College of Dentistry. As a general dentist and diligent care provider, she has experience in a multitude of areas, such as pedodontics (childhood care), removable prosthetics (dentures), restorative treatments (fillings/crowns), and oral surgery (extractions). Dr. Vazquez never stopped learning, either. To date, she has certifications in nitrous oxide sedation, level 1 conscious sedation, Invisalign, and straight wire orthodontics.

Outside of the office, Dr. Vazquez likes to spend time with her husband Joel and their daughter, Emma. She also enjoys taking walks while listening to audio books and experiencing new cultures.

Dr. Jose Aldana

Dr. Aldana enjoys being able to provide quality dentistry near Oak Lawn and appreciates the supportive office environment and his capable team. He hopes that Soleil Dental will feel like home when you come visit, just as he feels at home whenever he’s on the clock!

Dentistry was a dream that Dr. Aldana shared with a childhood friend. His friend’s uncle, who was a dentist, introduced the two to the field. The experience showed Dr. Aldana that dentists could have both freedom and the ability to serve the community in a tangible way – talk about a winning combination!

To start his career, Dr. Aldana pursued a dental degree at the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry. A passionate dentist, he has continued to expand his skillset through continuing education courses. Thanks to his diligent efforts, he can provide quality dental implant placements, wisdom tooth extractions, orthodontics, and molar endodontics. Dr. Aldana has also completed advanced training with prestigious organizations like SPEAR Education and the Pankey Institute and is a proud member of the Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Believe it or not, Dr. Aldana is the youngest of eight siblings! He and his family are from Guanajuato, Mexico, and Dr. Aldana enjoys traveling and taking in different cultures (and their local foods). He dotes on his two precious cats, and loves to relax with a good cup of coffee and a good book.

I recently visited Soleil Dental thanks to my brother’s recommendation as I was looking for a new dentist. Karla was so kind and clear when checking me in and getting the appropriate paperwork and signatures. Cassandra made me feel at ease while getting X-rays done. She explained everything and made sure I had time to ask any questions. Dr. Aldana was so detailed and made sure I understood my treatment plan and made sure to answer any questions or concerns I had. Overall if you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend Soleil Dental. I’ve had a wonderful experience so far and look forward to returning for my annual appointment and cleaning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our team at Soleil Dental provides patients of all ages with the opportunity to not only embrace a healthier smile but also develop a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of their oral health. We know finding a dentist near Oak Lawn for everyone you love takes time, but we believe that our expertise and knowledge can help to answer some of your most important questions. Please take a few moments to review the list below and feel free to call us when you’re ready to schedule an appointment.

How much does a dental checkup & cleaning cost in Oak Lawn?

A general dental checkup and cleaning consists of many different parts. Not only will your dentist examine your teeth, gums, existing restorations, and perform an oral cancer screening to determine the health of your smile, but they’ll also remove any hardened plaque and tartar to give your teeth and gums proper care. In many cases, dental X-rays are also required. As a result, the cost can typically range between $200-$350. However, there are a few factors that can affect the overall price, such as the type of cleaning needed, the location of the dentist’s office, whether sedation is required, and whether you need additional imaging.

With dental insurance, there is a good chance that they will cover 80-100% of the total cost; however, if you don’t have a private insurance plan, you can inquire about alternative payment solutions. At Soleil Dental, we offer an in-house membership plan as well as flexible financing to help lower out-of-pocket expenses.

What do you do if you can’t afford a dentist?

You may be tempted to avoid visiting the dentist’s office if you think you’ll be unable to afford it; however, this is never a good idea. Avoiding regular care can lead to worsening cavities, gum disease, or any other oral health problem. Prevention is one of the most effective ways to keep your smile and overall well-being in the best shape.

If dental insurance is not something you have, you can ask our team about flexible financing through Sunbit. They offer low-to-no-interest payment plans so that you keep more money in your pocket upfront. With many different options to choose from, you can select a plan based on your budget and timeframe.

We also offer an in-house membership plan that requires you to pay one low annual fee. Immediately, you will receive countless benefits, including preventive services as well as free teeth whitening. You’ll also get 20-30% off many available services in our office.

How do I get emergency dental care?

Finding a dentist near Oak Lawn who offers emergency dental care isn’t something you want to wait around to research. Getting the care, you need when you’re in pain is essential. Even if you’re not experiencing discomfort, having a professional examine the injury is the best way to keep a minor problem from growing into something much bigger.

If you sustain a dental emergency of any kind, make sure to call the dentist right away. You will receive helpful first-aid tips you can use while waiting for your appointment time. At Soleil Dental, we offer same-day visits for emergency patients, so we’ll get you in as quickly as possible.

What is required to become a dentist in the United States?

The requirements for a person to become a licensed dentist include:

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree
  • Enrollment and completion of a DDS or DMD degree from one of the 67 accredited dental schools in the U.S.

Dental school typically takes three years and combines in-class instruction with hands-on experience. At this time, individuals can decide whether to practice general dentistry or pursue a specialization, such as orthodontics, pedodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, or one of the other 12 recognized by the American Dental Association.

To remain licensed, dentists must commit to taking a designated number of continuing education courses each year to refine their skills and expand their knowledge.
