Meet Our Skilled Dentists Near Uptown
Dr. Diana Vazquez
Dr. Vazquez is a trusted dentist near Uptown who enjoys working with people who desire healthier smiles. Being able to help solve their problems and improve their health and confidence are just a few of the many reasons she is pleased to provide exceptional services at Soleil Dental.
While in high school, she shadowed a dental office and assisted the local doctor. Being able to help tend to the needs of elementary school patients allowed her to experience what would later become her future career. Her firsthand exposure to dentistry set her on a path to pursue it at Baylor College of Dentistry, where she earned her dental degree.
Gaining experience in pedodontics, removable prosthetics, restorative treatments, and oral surgery, she has since completed high-level training and earned certifications for nitrous oxide sedation, level 1 oral conscious sedation, Invisalign, and straight-wire orthodontics.
She is also a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Hispanic Dental Association.
When she’s not in the office helping patients, she’s spending time with her husband, Joel, whom she met in college. Recently welcoming their first child, Emma, she enjoys taking walks and listening to audiobooks as well as traveling.
Dr. Jose Aldana
Creating caring environments for his patients is exactly what Dr. Jose Aldana aims to do. As a dentist near Uptown who appreciates the supportive nature of his colleagues at Soleil Dental, he is glad that he chose dentistry many years ago.
As a child, he and his friend dreamed of attending dental school one day. With his friend’s uncle being a dentist, he was introduced to this world early on, sparking a passion within him to pursue the same path.
After attending the University of North Texas for his undergraduate studies, he went on to attend the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry, earning his dental degree. Taking multiple courses to expand and hone his skills, he is able to perform various treatments in his position at Soleil Dental. He is trained in dental implant placement, wisdom tooth extractions, orthodontics, and molar endodontics.
He also maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He’s also participated in training at the Pankey Institute and SPEAR Education.
Originally from Guanajuato, Mexico, you can find Dr. Aldana spending his time traveling to experience various cultures and cuisines.

We know finding a dentist near Uptown for everyone you love takes time, but we believe that our expertise and knowledge can help to answer some of your most important questions. Please take a few moments to review the list below and feel free to call us when you’re ready to schedule an appointment.
How much does a dental checkup & cleaning cost in Uptown?
A general dental checkup and cleaning consists of many different parts. Not only will your dentist examine your teeth, gums, existing restorations, and perform an oral cancer screening to determine the health of your smile, but they’ll also remove any hardened plaque and tartar to give your teeth and gums proper care. In many cases, dental X-rays are also required. As a result, the cost can typically range between $200-$350. However, there are a few factors that can affect the overall price, such as the type of cleaning needed, the location of the dentist’s office, whether sedation is required, and whether you need additional imaging.
With dental insurance, there is a good chance that they will cover 80-100% of the total cost; however, if you don’t have a private insurance plan, you can inquire about alternative payment solutions. At Soleil Dental, we offer an in-house membership plan as well as flexible financing to help lower out-of-pocket expenses.
What do you do if you can’t afford a dentist?
You may be tempted to avoid visiting the dentist’s office if you think you’ll be unable to afford it; however, this is never a good idea. Avoiding regular care can lead to worsening cavities, gum disease, or any other oral health problem. Prevention is one of the most effective ways to keep your smile and overall well-being in the best shape.
If dental insurance is not something you have, you can ask our team about flexible financing through Sunbit. They offer low-to-no-interest payment plans so that you keep more money in your pocket upfront. With many different options to choose from, you can select a plan based on your budget and timeframe.
We also offer an in-house membership plan that requires you to pay one low annual fee. Immediately, you will receive countless benefits, including preventive services as well as free teeth whitening. You’ll also get 20-30% off many available services in our office.
How do I get emergency dental care?
Finding a dentist near Uptown who offers emergency dental care isn’t something you want to wait around to research. Getting the care, you need when you’re in pain is essential. Even if you’re not experiencing discomfort, having a professional examine the injury is the best way to keep a minor problem from growing into something much bigger.
If you sustain a dental emergency of any kind, make sure to call the dentist right away. You will receive helpful first-aid tips you can use while waiting for your appointment time. At Soleil Dental, we offer same-day visits for emergency patients, so we’ll get you in as quickly as possible.
What is required to become a dentist in the United States?
The requirements for a person to become a licensed dentist include:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree
- Enrollment and completion of a DDS or DMD degree from one of the 67 accredited dental schools in the U.S.
Dental school typically takes three years and combines in-class instruction with hands-on experience. At this time, individuals can decide whether to practice general dentistry or pursue a specialization, such as orthodontics, pedodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, or one of the other 12 recognized by the American Dental Association.
To remain licensed, dentists must commit to taking a designated number of continuing education courses each year to refine their skills and expand their knowledge.
